Default Spark plug wire differences between years...

I was looking to buy another set of the Autolite Professionals, as I like them, and they're sold just down the street. I bought a set not long ago for the '98, and wanted to do the same for the "new" 2000 SE. The part number is different, and they don't carry the part number for the 2000 model. Any reason I can't use the part number for the '98? The p/n for the '98 is 96650, and the 2000 uses 97001. Thanks!

It'* possible as mentioned that the length is different because of the alternator bracket differences. That may change the routing enough to need a couple longer wires.

A quick glance at both says that the 2000 wires actually have a more direct path to the rear plugs than the 1998. I'm going to give it a shot and report back. Tomorrow I'm doing the LIM/UIM, plugs and wires, flushing the Dexmud out of it, AND doing the hockey puck mount, if I can find 3 hockey pucks in the entire city of Houston. I can't believe I can't find any down here, where hockey is the sport of choice.
