i had a 02 i bought new base 2.0 5spd and it always got 31-32 until i bought a k&n drop in and removed the silencer in the fender then it got a couple more. i am usually able to get one or two more than the rated mpg, 38-40 would be almost 25% over the factory rating

Believe it or not I don't give a rip. Not sure I believe you anyway.

The thought is the larger, older car would be safer. From what the video shows the dummy in the newer car suffered less injury than the dummy in the car. Im pretty sure a steering wheel is goin to hurt worse than an airbag. Oh yes I forgot I cant believe a youtube video.

Someone ought to have their butt kicked for intentionally trashing that old Chevy.

I not sure how, its a manual stick shift like yours, not sure of the engine. Im not a dodge man by any means, but he sure does brag about it a lot. Im currently looking for a manual shift cavalier. It would be nice to get around mid 30s for mileage instead of 18.
