Supercharged SE???

Supercharged SE???
Hi all. New here to the club. Just bought my first Bonnie. I am a graduated GM ASEP technician but have now gone on to my 4 year in Criminal Justice. I've worked on a lot of Bonnevilles, but have never seen one like the one I bought. I bought a 96 SE...with the 1 motor. Superchared SE? I'm very pleased overall with the condition of the car, but was quite puzzled by the supercharger on the base model. I happened to be glancing around EBAY tonight at Bonnies for sale and stumbled into a car identical to mine that the owner is claiming only 367 were made (SE with a Supercharger). Does anybody have any facts on this?
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to checking in here for some tips and comradeship now that I've joined the Pontiac Family. My bro has a 98 SSEI, so I'll have him in here soon.
Bret

Alright creed, Welcome to the Bonneville Club. There are a few BC members with SE'* that are supercharged. They are indeed rare cars.

I thought so too, however, all badges, original window sticker and Vin call it an SE. Cool...one of 367. Where can I find stats on all that kind of stuff...ie how many were in production total, and a breakdown of the various trim levels?

you have he H4U (SLE) RPO code on your spare tire cover..[/quote]
Quite right, my friend. Just ran outside in the cold to check (it'* 12 degrees in MO tonight). So, it'* an SE according to that article with the SLE group added on? A little confusing...but neat all the same. What did the H4U (SLE) entail? Traction Control and Perf shift? Gauges?

Look at my signature. I have another. There'* probably a dozen on the Forum right now.
Mine (so far) is the most heavily optioned. Not quite up to my SSEi in options, but getting closer every day.
