I havent heard of anyone here running with the slp headers, a few over at clupgp thats it?

I dont think there would any diff between slp and tog'* in the way of install, as long as the flex pipe were simillar?

Scott said he sold at least 2 sets to a Bonnie owners. Just wondering if they were on here and what they thought about them.

I was wondering the same thing. I know that 13secGTP who visits here has SLP and he recomends them.

What does Scott have on his ssei Rogue?

I'm pretty sure the SLP'* don't have a flex pipe or a down pipe, you still need one unlike the TOGs that come with a flex plate. Looked it up and I'm wrong, but they are different shaped, the tog to cat connection is different than the slp conncetion

Look at the shape of the two differnt cat options, got to goto the exhaust page. http://www.3800performance.com/vehic...97_03_miva.htm

I did read some reviews that the SLP'* are thinner and some do have a ticking noise untill car warms up. Still think I'll be getting Togs soon. Probably pop for the ceramic coating too.

I believe he has TOGS but that was before SLP'* were available. His girlfriend runs SLP'* on her GTX. He recommends SLP over TOGS for a few reasons.

1) TOGS expensive
2) performance differance is nothing
3) SLP'* come precoated
4) TOGS leak
5) TOGS require bending/replacing dipstick
and a few others...

I think I'm going to go the SLP route based on his suggestion. The few negatives associated to the SLPs (ticking of the flexpipe and clunking in reverse) don't seem to apply to the Bonnevilles. The ticking can be fixed with heatwrap around the flex pipe and there is enough room in the Bonnevilles not to have the headers bang in reverse.

The SLP'* are no where near the header the TOG'* are I have friends with both, The SLP'* tick, leak, hit the swaybar, floorboard in reverse. and the band clamps suck, The TOG'* are just over $600 now so the price diff. is insignificant, There have been sooo many discusions on this over at Club GP.

Hmm, Interesting what Scott said about SLP for us, I bet that'* all true do being in a bigger car, on the other hand I hear a lot of stories like GTXcowboy'*. In the IL GPC couple guys do installs for the group and they agree that the TOG'* are nicer. They do cost more I agree, but nothings to good for my SSEi.

Also with SilverBullet and Pontiac Dad'* recent TOG purchase and install they both says they look and installed nicely. Now if they'd only weld it back up and go for a test drive, I sold.

I just installed the SLP'* 1.5 wks. ago. The install was alot harder than the TOG'* would be. However, I don't have any of the problems you listed. I did wrap the flex only before install.
