I experienced the '92 gas tank problem last night.
Last night on my way home from the store, I turned the corner and decided I was gonna pin it to the speed limit. *SPUTTER SPUTTER POP POP POP*. First thing that came to my mind "Uh oh, time to hook the scantool up". So I proceeded to do that. Hmm...everything looked good, no KR at redline whatsoever, no codes, so WTH? I had less than a 1/4 tank, and it wasn't in the yellow yet, so I really didn't think of the 92 gas tank problem. Well I learned that it sputters for up to 20-30 seconds after a sharp turn from the bad gas tank design, and goes away. Kinda freaked me out. Guess we all learn that way.
Oh and thanks to Petey (petraman) for reminding me to keep at least 1/4 tank or more in it.

Got the same problem here. If im at 1/4 the tank and am proceeding on the on ramp for the highway my car usually just stalls out or dies on the on ramp. If you ask me its dangerous, especially with cars behind you ready to merge with highway traffic. I thought it was due to the baffles being rotted out or something.

Same problem on my car. Don't get a '93 tank.
I'm more than likely going to use the resources I have and have a few buddies with welding skills do a permanent fix

Mine got to the point that no matter how much gas I put in it...it rattled like hell at idle and everytime I shut a door.
The plastic baffles came apart in several locations in my tank. So expect yours to get to rattling real soon too.
