SSEI 2003 Bonneville
Hey group, went and cleaned the engine today.Bought the spray engine cleaner and went to the car wash ...followed all the steps and was very careful.
Well the "service engine soon light" came on solid. So I went to the local auto zone and they hooked up the hand held computer and it told us that the sensor on the coil was wet...or something like that ???. Let the engine run when I got home and checked all the wire connections. Consulted the owners manual and it stated something about if the engine got wet ( drove through puddle of water ) then drive it a few trips and the light will clear ,if not go to the dealer.... Any great advice here ??I suppose the only way to clear this is to hit the dealer if the light does not clear in a day or two ??
Thanks ahead of time...

You can also get the code cleared at autozone or pull the battery negative cable off for 10-20minutes to resrt the pcm.
Did they tell you which code you thru?

Hey Guys,
After letting the car sit in the Arizona winter sun with the hood open the light cleared !
Still curious as to which sensor is so touchy to this ( something with the coils ?)
The car never ran bad in anyway.
Thanks All,
Cabletek83
