I've been thinking all night, how much more would it cost to put a Series2 in this car?
I know the PCM is different, would I have to change harnesses, hoses, accessories, etc?

The cost of changing everything else will make it spendy.

If you get a L36, you could get away without a new tranny, I think. But what would the point be? What'* a BCM? Never heard of it.

Well the Series 1 SC has pracitcally nil aftermarket support, and I would like to think about some gradual power increases, which is hard when you have to do alot of custom crap

BCM=Body Control Module, I have no actual idea what this does or if I even have one.

I'm starting to think about making the dealer take the car back. For what I paid for the car+what he'* gonna have to shell out for a re-manufactured engine, I could just take the Series 2 SC Riviera he'* got on the lot off his hands...
...being DAMN SURE he files all the right paperwork this time!
I would also, of course, take it to a Goodwrench within 1 hour of buying it and have it THOROUGHLY checked.
At this point I really don't give a sh*t what he does with the car if I make him take it back.
I learned my lesson, someone else can learn their'*.
One of my co-workers asked me if I was alright earlier, said I had been grinding my teeth loud enough to hear over the pizza oven.
I can't think straight, I'm so f*cking pissed, if this drags out any longer, I might start throwing rocks through their f*cking windows...

I should mention, someone on a forum to remain un-named said something about the shop maybe putting a junkyard motor in to replace the current one.

NO F*CKING WAY IS A JUNKYARD MOTOR GOING ANYWHERE NEAR MY ENGINE BAY!!!
I'm not going to settle for anything less than a GM re-manufactured engine.
I'm not getting a motor put in when I don't have any way of knowing how many miles it has on it, what might have been wrong with it when the car it was in was wrecked, causing who knows what other trauma to the enginge that would be a problem in the future.
I really hope that the guy who mentioned this was joking. If not, he should get his ganglia tied off, they aren't helping him any, after all.

WHOA!! Slow down there hoss!! You got the proof you paid for the warranty, so they're gonna hafta fork over a new engine, whether it'* in this car or another one. I know you're stressed, but you just gotta try and maintain your cool til you get a real answer, nit just us supposing and guessing.

And I agree, just so'* ya know. A warranty wouldn't buy me a junkyard motor either....

It isn't just the fact that I need a new motor, it'* that every time I think how they tried to scam me, I get even more pissed off. I mean, this is not just point-A-point-B transpo here, I rely on this car to make my living! Them, messing around on the warranty has cost me three day'* tips in the gas I'm having to put in my Dad'* truck while I'm driving it.
With the Bonneville I was staying ahead of gas cost by about ten bucks a night, but with the truck, I'm putting more in than I'm making on tips, even though I can fill it with 87.
For perspective, this is probably gonna set me back a month on moving in to my own place again, and I'm going nuts having to share a house with people(my parents) who get up at 5am and 8am respectively and go to bed at 10:00.
My biological clock won't let me get up before 11am or go to sleep before 2 in the morning when I work late shifts like I am now.
See? This is f*cking up my LIFE!

Yeah Yeah, I know I'm ranting but it'* better than getting arrested for kicking Trunk'* A$$

Ranting here is definitely better than getting in trouble in the real world!! Just don't give yourself an ulcer yet.....
