Check the DIC. I can set mine to unlock at park, or ignition off, and on at gear change from park, or 5mph forward I think.

My 87 has that (Park to gear locks) but my 92 doesnt.. Maybe a fuse? weird...

nope, i have friends with the car though. Not under the hood knowledge but plenty of inside the car knowledge as far as what does what. like the bonnevilles

My cousin has an Aurora too, silver, loaded, nice! But it'* the newest model. Don't know how much help I could be But it looks like you may have enough already.
