I think even the BMW M5'* S62 DOHC 5.0L V8 has a redline at around 7k. Power braking with the tranny at 5,000rpm would rip it apart before I even let loose, wouldn't it?

So I guess I don't really stand a chance against this dude unless I get a blower? We seemed pretty even with each other, with the exception of the launch...other than that, he didn't really grow any distance between us. I have about 140,XXX miles (224,XXX km) on the clock and he'* got about 216,XXX miles (346,XXX km).

Thanks for all the input, guys.

Regards,
Stoopid

K I just noticed how two posts concentrated on me and what I said. The fact is I don't appreciate getting **** on, and that is what happened in two of these posts to me, because it seems u guys are trying to make me feel stupid because of what i wrote about my car. All I know is I have reved my car to 7000 rpm and it looses power even when my foot is to the floor on the gas and the car does not regain any power until the tach is at about 4000 rpm, so what do u call that. And about that gsr integra getting killed by a sentra ser, I **** you not, I even have it on video if u want proof. And I did think that the gsr had turbos, but someone was lying to me. I just don't appreciate anyone making me feel unsuperior just because I get a few things wrong, and plus I am very sick and can barely think straight so cut me a break please.

Just dont' be revvin to 7G very much, that tranny of your is 14 years old...unless its been rebuilt. All the mods in the world won't save your tranny.

Protect it so you can keep it

Ya, don't be revving that high. My brother revs to 6000 in Park with his F-bird and he'* on his way to ruining his tranny and/or engine like his last F-bird.

EDIT: Jim, he says he does has a rev limiter which confused me. :?

thanks for the advie. I try not to rev above 4500, considering that is when my car upshifts if i push the pedal hard and won't let up, if i baby it, then it upshifts at around 3000.

well hey I want to go to school to study automotive technology, but the way things are going right now and the fact that I am completely clueless when it comes to cars, I don't think I will do well at all in college. Ever since I got my bonne last year, my dream car has been a ssei supercharged bonne. 12 way power leather seats, traction control, the works. Plus a 240hp engine doesn't sound bad either.
