Default autoxray 5000, aeroforce, or Autotap

or

or

which should I get?

I want to be able to check all the sensors and make sure I dont have KR. I also want the ability to clear codes...all the above solutions are the same price and do pretty much the same thing.

Which is better in my situation?

Hans..also look at the AutoEnginuity and consider HPTuners and DHP. You seem to be concentrating on the Series 2 and may as well consider the ability of reading etc that they have as well as the possible tuning ability.

agreed with Boosty.

If you want an on demand all the time scanner/gague go with the Aeroforce

if you want to just scan and look at paramaters occasionally go with the other handheld/computer systems

I purchased the Aeroforce only to monitor things in real time since im modding and would like to know what my engine is doing at any given moment.

Im following Boosty'* footprints in stages and eventually will become a 1/4 mile daily driver

I'd like to add more onto Pat and Tony'* responses. While the Aeroforce is a great tool...it leaves a ton of parameters out. My laptop based tool has many features as well as all parameters that the Aeroforce can't compete with.

Looking at cost, accessibility and need to see more data will be your main drivers on which way you decide to go.

Personally.. I need to log and record many different parameters and see things in a worksheet/grid format. That'* my mod level and where I'm heading. At the same time, if the laptop isn't hooked up..I do like to see certain items and this is a must with a Timing Commander. Therefore I have both.

I was displeased with my autoxray 5000. It is a great jack of all trades scanner ( master of none) but if you only plan on scanning your car and want all the details, this isn'tthe one for you. Personally If I could do it again would get the DHP powertuner or HP power tuner it is also a scanner and will help you get the best of your mods int he future.
