I"ve never heard that setup in any SSE/i that was as good as the earlier gen. Both "premium" level speakers don't last long IMO.

yep. i took out the *[eakers to change them in my black car and they are bose. the amp is labeled bose. the 96-92 are just delco premium speakers

I have to say I agree that the Ser 2 is a much quieter and smoother running engine than the Ser 1. The two engines sound totally different as well. As far as performance is concerned the Ser 2 L67 seems only slightly quicker than the 94'-95' L67. However, the Ser 2 L67 is considerably quicker than a 92-93' in my personal experiences. The 92-93', especially the 92'* feel more like a Ser 2 NA with 3.06 gearing.

some are. But when you've owned atleast 3 of each series of engines I think it'* possible to draw conclusions.

Some great replies here guys, thanks. Hopefully this thread will prove useful to someone else in the future as well.

I've definately gotta stick with the L67

And radio and such will all be replaced (all components, etc.)....but thanks again guys.

And thanks for the offer Echo SSEI, I just may have to take you up on that

The problem is that you didn't own them all at the same time for a side-by-side comparison. It'* easy to forget or have the wrong 'feel'. And a properly tuned, good running car can be a totally different story.

I drove my car, driverjohn'* car, PontiacDad/PontiacMom'* car, and 2000SilverBullet'* car all in the same night, back to back to back to back for a comparison.

My 93 has more bottom end off the line than all of them, but the 2000'* run on me starting somewhere between the 60' and the 1/8 mile.

My car is no louder than any of the 4 I drove that night, nor any louder than Twister or SsuperchargedEi'* cars.

I am going to have to I agree with willwren when I owned my intrigue 99 which had series 2 and the car I have now which is series 1their is almost no difference in the noise level of the motor'*. That is saying a lot my bonnieville has about 160k miles (Done a lot work on,but started it life as rently car and has other 7 owns include me) the intrigue when I sold it had 66,000 was tuned and very well mainted. Actual like the steering of the bonnieville better then the intrigue it had maganeer steer on in it, that is just personal preference, I felt that steering was over assited. ,but if had the money I would diffenetly getr 00+ bonnieville, but I would keep 92 for the winter. I love my 92 bonnieville any car that 160k on and can still roast the tires on command and the engine is stock is can not be a bad car. I have driven 20,000 on since this august 04 it has no new problems since I got it. It has been texas and new york.
