6 for 1 special on Sundays!
I was out 'n about, testing the new brakes. Ended up at a light in a mess of cars, 2-lanes my direction, nice country 10 mile straight heading out of town ahead of me. Here'* the lineup, Nascar style as Turtle said a bit ago:
Inside row 1, PT turbo, outside, Dodge Ram 3500 stake-side (roadblock)
Inside row 2, Miata, outside, me. Right behind the damn Ram
Inside row 3, 96+ Bonny SE, outside, Mitsu Eclipse.
Inside row 4, nobody, outside, Mustang GT.
Lite went green, the PT beat the Ram, duh, and the Miata followed him out. The SE saw my trunk badge or twin exhaust, and let me inside in front of him, and blocked the eclipse and GT. I ripped past the Ram and ditched to the inside right after the Miata, and we both blew the PT away. I walked on the Miata to the inside again, and watched the rest in my mirror. The Eclipse and GT hung with the SE until he hit his limit, and all of them ended up catching the Miata. That SE held them off til his PCM said enough is enough.
I backed out at 140 and did some high-heat testing of the new brakes. I let 'em all back by me so I could get a body count and figure out for sure what they all were (and to make sure they saw me laughing at them.....with the window down). The SE gave me a big grin. Most of the rest of them wouldn't even LOOK at me!
That was the best free-for-all I've ever been in :P
SSEi-multi kill on a PT Turbo ( ), Miata, Eclipse, and Mustang GT with an assist from the SE!

Funny thing. Just thought of this. I didn't notice the typical 'light front end' side effect above 120 today. I dunno why, either. Could be that I was paying too much attention in the mirror at the battle behind me while the 96 SE was cleaning up my kill, or if these tires help? Can tires be that much of a difference? Sidewall flex or sumthin? Old dunlops and new Toyo'* were all H rated.

Will, you are running H rated tires at 142 mph!!! I am pretty sure that that is not a good idea. We like you too much around here to get that post from Seabert. BE CAREFUL! We all know that your car is worthy of the title "Super Speed Edition-Injected" Get some real tires on that Bonneville before you kill yourself.

Iknow, I know. Just a quick sprint and back out of it on a cold day. Never over 130 again with these tires.
But they were asking for it! I honestly didn't even look at the HUD until 140. I was watching the show behind me to see how the other Bonnie was doing! I was wide open, free and clear, not another car for miles (except behind me!).
If I'd been watching the HUD, I'd have dumped alot earlier. 130 max.

You know it Besides, the number of posts you have made is directly proportional to your Bonnies Capabilities...and everyone knows it!
Seriously, I don't want you testing the crumple zones on that car--at any speed.
