Default Bonnie Died

Well the 62,000 mile old Bonnie did something unforgivable today, it stranded me at West. Just turned the key and nothing happened. It didn't click, didn't make any noise, didn't even try to turn over. I thought it was the battery at first but keyless entry worked, the radio was on, and my driving lights were off. I tried two more times to get it started but nothing. For your info I never leave anything running except the radio, so it wasn't that I was trying to start the engine, the radio, the air conditioner, etc. Luckily I got a ride home with a friend in her Olds Alero, nice car but I wouldn't drive it. Bonnie got its *** towed over to Pontiac, they gave me a "courtesy" Chevrolet Corsica.

Pontiac called and said the car is ready for pickup but they weren't open early enough for me to pick the car up. I'll be interested to know what went wrong with her.

Yeah me too...I had a similar issue but I installed a push-start so I never really diagnosed it. Sometimes it would fire right up, sometimes I'd have to turn the key on-off 20-30 times. Obviously an ignition problem for mine

He has a 95 SE.

62K? That'* ripe mileage for the UIM to go out.

Well I'd be willing to bet $100 the security light came on, becuase VATS was to blame. For some reason the key I've been usng got damaged or lost the info and stopped sending the code to start the engine. Pontiac just reprogrammed it and it worked fine. Ironic when the security system designed to prevent your car from theft stops the owner from driving it isn't it?

yeah, I see it all the time. "security" bites you in the ***, and then causes it to "secure" you from your own car.
