Default God must have a really ironic sense of humor...

Okay, here'* the backstory: Been looking for a car to replace my Bonneville for a while now. The reason is that I got in an accident a while back and got severely hosed on my repair bill. After that, I decided I didn't want to put any more money into her. After all, I got her for $1400, and she'* not perfect, and putting as much money into her as I did over the whole thing, I felt more and more unjustified the deeper into the project that I got. As of now, she is sitting out in my driveway with a shitty sanding and bodywork job (although there wasn't any big body work to do on her, so it'* not as bad as it sounds), with patches of spray primer and bright, unsanded paint spots all over her, not to mention she is sans one front bumper too, because I was told it was better and cheaper if I left the bumper off to be painted separately. I have the new bumper, and have installed all the other new parts. She'* been like that for about 2-3 months now. Needless to say, it looks shitty, and that'* kind of how I feel when I'm driving in it, knowing what it looks like :( Being broke sucks, but being broke, screwed over, and with an ugly car makes it that much worse. God, does it suck.

Well, here'* the big news: I've decided to get her fixed. It'* gonna be a pain in the ***, especially with my dad who never finishes any of his own personal work (He'* a great worker on jobs he'* being paid for, which is to his credit) and my own personal school and work schedule getting in the way, but if I dedicate myself and hound my dad about helping me finish it (he'* the man with the expertise, more or less, after all...) I feel it WILL get done... eventually...

Well, here'* what inspired this post: I've been looking for a new car for a while now, especially another Bonneville, preferably a 93-94, which I'm sure many of you all know by now

Guess what? Not ONE DAY after I decided to fix the Bonnie Lass, I decide to look in the paper. You know, for the hell of it. What do I find?

Can any of you guess?

"93 Bonneville - 4 dr sedan, exc cond - $2400"

God has a really frigging funny sense of humor

(This isn't the first time this kinda thing has happened to me. God must really like me or really hate me to have this much fun messing with me )

that is the way life is. It is rather ironic. Good luck getting your car fixed soon.

Don't think too much of that ad, if you never saw the car... 1-liner descriptions can be all kinds of misleading without pictures, a test drive, or an inspection of SOME kind!

True, but there had been NONE in there until I looked today. And I looked Saturday, so that makes it even crazier Hehe, oh well... just realized a little while ago I have all next week (not weekend-I always work those) as well as Wed-Fri this week off from school! Hell, maybe if I'm lucky I'll be able to get it all done then. I won't hold my breath, but, hey, it IS possible And about that spoiler... I think I'll avoid that prject for now, hehe Don't want to make it more difficult than it has to be. I'd have to drill holes and align it right and... no thanks, not now Besides, I like the curvy look, it'* nice

It can look good, and it can look odd... I've seen bubble butts both ways, depending on the rest of the car'* exterior "accessories".

Good luck on the project, and YOU CAN DO IT! ... as long as you stay on task.
