90-96 gp 3.4 engine swap
i was messing around and i had a thought. can the 3.4 dohc engine from the 90-96 grand prix be swapped in to a bonneville? i saw that it makes a bit more power than an l36 but less torque BUT..... it comes with a 5spd. is this doable? has it been done already?

It'* the torque that moves the heavy cars, and that'* a crappy motor in comparison.
The custom fabbing for the clutch pedal would be a bitch. It'* really not worth it, and the clutch is going to have a short life with your big car behind it.

If what you want is the 5 speed and not the engine (which is what it sounds like) you don't need to use the 3.4. However, a 5 speed on an h body hasn't been done yet so you won't know what all you need to change until you try it, but I'm sure it will fit with some work. Any GM V6 should bolt up to it though so you don't have to swap in a junk (IMO) 3.4.
Be prepared to do a lot of fabbing though.
I'll make this as short and simple as I can. It has 4 cams and a timing BELT.

What is so bad about the 3.4s?
