im just wondering what parts are interchangable betweens theses motors

I don't believe they are interchangable. They are completley different engines

Correct. About the only things that interchange are things like thermostat, plugs and you can use S2 coils on an S1, but don't want to do the opposite.

I would imagine those would interchange either way.

On later S1 models around 94-95, the fuel injectors are also the same. The S2 are rated at 22lb-hr while the S1 injectors are rated at 19lb-hr, because the S1 has a lower fuel pressure. Otherwise, I have confirmed that they *are* the same.

The valve covers might be the same, but I can't confirm that.

All in all they are two pretty different engines.

Coils are weaker in S1 than S2, therefore you would probably induce some KR if you reduced the spark.

L36 maybe the injectors are the same, L67 they are very different. Stock S2'* are 33# or 36#, I forget.

VC'* are different. Although the metal F body ones will fit the L36.

i saw something some where that the crank and pistons were the same is that true?

Definately not. The crank in the S2 SC and NA are the same.
