Default spare tire for use with 18'*

I have a 96 SE and am thinking about putting 18'* on it. Can I still use my factory spare donut tire or will I have to buy a new one to use with the bigger tires and rims?

Use your factory wheel as a spare! My friend does and he has dubs on his car.

Why not?!!! It worked fine with your original rims. It will work with your new 18" rims as well. Remember, it'* a TEMPORARY Spare Tire. It'* only purpose is to get you home or to a place where they can repair the flat tire. Of course, if you want, you could use one of your original tires. But I wouldn't exceed 60mph with either the temporary or 16" tire in combination with the 18" tires. Also, the trunk floor won't be flat with the 16" rims in the spare well. And if you do decide to stick with the temporary spare, make sure you inflate it to 60 PSI.

! My friend does and he has dubs on his car.
What are "dubs"?

Ok this is the thing... the bigger the rims..the lower profile your tires are gonna be so they will come to equal out...so that spare will work. Hopefully your 18'* (rims/tires) will be the same height as your 16'* (rims/tires) so your speedometer still works
