Actually- its a caribou, and the woman on the other side is Queen Elizabeth II, Who is the Queen of England- not Canada. We are part of the common wealth, which also includes New Zealand, Australia, there are some others and of course GB.
As far as that Yankee quarter goes- the bald eagle, and the dead prez, are actually not in alingment with eachother- the top of the prez head, is upside down to the bald eagle? whats up with that?
oh and one more thing.....
in 1992 the Canadian Mint released provincial quarters, commerting Canada'* 100th birthday. The quarters became collectables, and they continued to release these non-caribou quarters. There is another series of them floating around now, they seem to provincial ones again, but there are so many different ones around now. Oh there was even a vetran one released last november.
