Default 2003 Dodge w/ Hemi

last night we spent a few small spurts testing each other back and forth and then finally we came up to a red light together Light goes green and we both let 'em go and it was neck and neck until about 60 and he slowly pulled away and then I had to veer out of my lane as some construction worker had left an orange cone in the middle of my lane . so he slowed down and rolled down his window and the first thing he said was, "hey man nice car! Is that the 3.8 supercharged engine?" I said it was and asked if he had a hemi in his dodge(because I think the base dodges are pretty wimpy). He said he did have a Hemi and had just had a performance muffler put on the day before(had a very mean growl). So I guess I have to say I was killed but it was fairly close.

Anyone have the specs on an 03 Hemi with the 20" rims?

Yeah the base Rams are pretty wimpy, I beat one pretty badly last Fall.

Do the Rams w/ Hemi'* have a badge or something that says they have a Hemi in 'em? I've seen a lot of new Rams but wasn't sure who had it. But I could probably tell if they floored it.

Did he have the dual exhaust with the straight pipes? I see so many trucks that get that. I also see a lot with those hood scoops now. So many that it makes me sick.

no, his new muffler system just had the exhaust tip coming out from behind the right rear tire. No cowl hood or hood scoops either. Very nice looking truck actually. Black with the big 20" chrome shoes.

Well I'm glad to see he didn't get the scoops. I love Rams and always have. The best looking truck, IMO, and the new ones are even better. Leave the hood scoops for the Ford Rangers. (No offense to Ford fans)

The new Hemi Magnum (as though the Hemi name couldn't stand on its own!) produces 345 horsepower (5,600 rpm) and 375 lb-ft of torque (4,400 rpm) from 5.7 liters (345 cid*) - one horsepower per cubic inch, and it is still the engine'* first year. In addition to truck duty, it will be used in the new LX series, in front of a Mercedes five-speed automatic. The Hemi is smaller, faster, and more economical (we hear also cheaper to build) than the 360 it is replacing. What'* more, a 6.1 liter version is being developed for even more power, to replace the current V-10.

I loooove Dodge Rams in the looks department, I tried to convince my dad to get one but he got a ford instead. If I could only own one truck, it would be a ram.
