Hey Russian,
What year is your thunderchicken? I have the "Vinnie" version in 1969 vintage with the 460 and a Holley 750 double pumper. It turns 365 hp and 500 lbs. ft. Of course it weighs in at 4600 lbs. and gets 9 mpg.

Mine is a 66' Land. a very nice car and very fast indeed. I have Edelbrock Accesories tho, Intake, Carb , Headers, etc. Nothing better then the look of people when you pull away from them in a big boat ride eh? I dampered my exhaust so its a real sleeper but I can really lay some nice rubber down on the road.

Yes it is! You know what I mean about the "Vinnie" version don't you? It is the Lincoln Mark III, a Lincoln on Thunderbird underpinnings. The critics of the time (196 said it looked like a Thunderbird designed by seven guys named Vinnie!
Does yours have Posi (limited slip)? Mine is open. It is such a waste of 500 lbs. ft. of torque all going to one pathetic right rear wheel :( It makes burnouts pointless.

Yeah I have a Detroit Locker rear in my 9 inch. .... Sounds awesome when going around corners if you know what I mean.
Yeah I enjoy your year and stlye Thunerbird. Does yours have the suicide doors? or was that just 67?
I got mine and it had a 390, I loved this engine but just werent enough peformance parts for it. So I skipped the 427 and hopped to the 460 and am very happy I did. Mine is red with a white top. Boy is it sharp even tho its still got orig. paint on it.
