2000 SSEI vs. 2000 Golf GTI VR6

Metric is easier all around than standard. Metric has nice round numbers to deal with, multiples of ten in every unit of measure. It'* easier to figure out how many meters in 27 kilometers than how many feet in 27 miles(multiply 5280 by 27 off the top of your head!).
The U.*., Sri Lanka, and the Republic of East Bumf!*k are the only nations that don't use metric. It would probably be easier for import/export businesses to not have to convert everthing over.

Uhm, Which country is the dancing banana and which one is the dancing monkey? Either way, I don't like the implied outcome!
Lets confuse the issue even more. Puerto Rico is part of the U.*., they are not their own country, but they are not a state, they don't speak English as their native language, but they must all learn it in school, they use the U.*. Dollar, they measure their distances in meters and kilometers--but their speed in Miles per hour, they measure their weights in pounds and ounces, they measure their liquids in leters (gas) and gallons (milk).
Talk about a messed up system! This is what happens when one tries to change a society from one system to the other!

Oh got that right. In the construction industry, its a bit wacky for designers and architects. When working residential everything is in Imperial regarding lumber, but in commercial applications its all metric.
It makes me wonky. I suppose we use the best of both north of the border too.
