2000+ Intermediate shaft interestment
I didn't want to hijack the thread on intermediate steering shaft problems in the mechanical forum, so I thought I'd post this interestment here. I gotta wonder if the same engineer designed ALL the GM intermediate shafts of that era. Iím pondering this because the intermediate steering shaft on my 2003 Silverado 1500HD flew the coop at around 24k miles. This was so prevalent on these trucks that the dealer had to install the grease fix while I waited 3 months for a backordered shaft. Point is, ití* not a Bonneville-only problem! I wonder what other GM models enjoy this feature?
There may be an engineer out there somewhere that'* in need of a good b****-slap.
