too bad they had to use Japanese in their cars. Coincidentally, the fastest Ford cars with a I4 or V6 are all foreign built engines, Ford didn't build them.. does that tell you something or what?

Y'know, Ford is just a sell-out. Ford used to be good muscle and durable. The '71 Boss 351 Mustang ran circles around the GTO stock, pulling 13.4 in a 1/4 right out of the factory on a 3800 lb. chassis. Now, they ain't got nuthin. Used to be a Ford man...

I am a huge GTO fan, and I have to say it really depends on what version of the GTO you ordered. RA IV was a good (rare) engine as was the 455. However, DeLorean didn't believe in rear anti-sway bars so the '71 Boss probably could run literal circles around a '71 GTO. LOL

Y'know, the sad thing is Ford still makes the Cleveland block (351, used also for the Boss 351) but they only use them in their racing cars, NASCAR, I believe, and the funny cars, and drag racers. Why don't they put them back into production?!?!?

They have emissions on the Windsor block, and the same emissions on the Cleveland block, already a proven block, would stil yeild a much more powerful engine. Stick the Cleveland block in a 'Stang with the same emissions that the Cobra R has, and you'll get many more horses and especially torque than it currently has now. That'* what I think. That'* my story, and I'm stickin' to it!!

I'm confused... How can someone judge a car, if they have never driven one. A few messages back, someone said that the SHO'* are sucked out or something, or no a ***** *** car. If you have ever driven one, you wouldn't be thinking that.

Ford didn't "fail" at making an engine for the SHO. They gave a contract to Yamaha because Yamaha knows what they are doing in terms of getting power, out of relatively small engines. Pontiac does this them selves, and i do prefer Pontiac over Ford, but if given the choice, i would revert to an SHO because they, in my opinion, are faster then a stock SSEi.

I say this, because we used to OWN one and I actually can reinforce my own opinion, and not base it on someone else'* opinion of it..
