Default Not my kill, but fun to watch

Driving home from work yesterday (Sunday Morning) there'* a whole group of us cruising along between 55 and 60 on the highway (guess why). Well, that wasn't nearly fast enough for the guy in the late model white Cavalier.

He goes flying through us with the standard erratic lanes changes, and a couple of the standard light flashes and horn honks. When he gets to the front of the pack, where you guessed it, a cop is playing Pace Car, he gets flashed with a different set of lights and a dinstinctive "You done screwed up" horn.

I think more than one of us was "LOL"ing as we watched the two of them pull over. I was tempted to wave but decided against it.

I just love watching dumasses get thier just rewards...

Default weird

Cops play pace car? around here we just pass them... but not too fast... maybe 10-15% of speed limit. Funnest thing happend too me the other day. I was on highway 2(for anyone around me) going a smooth 145km/h and a new impala cop car passes me(150-155km/h). Had the lights in the rear window, and the zr tires on the dog dish wheels/hubcaps.

nice....

I had a similar experience once. I was on a 2 lane road (me left, baby blue crown vic in the right) crusing home from a weekend up north. I see this new monte' come flyin up behind me so I slow down to make a gap between me and the c-vic (who is doing the speed limit to a T). Sure enough, the monte' cuts in frint of me and takes off. Needless to say the vic was a unmarked squad (like I had figured) and I passed them both a mile down the road...pulled over.

oh, I also got passed by 2 cops once. There lights were off but they were doing about 100mph. They gave me some dirty looks as they went by...I was doing well over 80mph myself.

Some tricks the cops like to play around are....

A) dropping a guy off in the woods about 1/2 a km out... and tagging cars with radar & radioing ahead... the cruisers are waiting over the hill to pull them over. (this is common on nice days for the RCMP... the yellow strip on their leg is what you spot first).

B)Both the HPD and RCMP around here have ghost cars, but are slightly modified. IE, the RCMP has some silver mazda. They will cruise around 25% above the limit, in a given streach of highway, while cruises wait near the on ramps. When they get passed or when someone is tailing them for a long time, they call in the cruises.
