95 LeSabre

95 LeSabre
The 1995 LeSabre has the 3800 Series I engine in it doesn't it? I looked under the hood of a 95 today and was surprised to see that instead of the series II, but then I remembered from a while ago hearing that the LeSabre was one of the few cars that didn't get the series II in 95. Why is that? Does anyone have any idea why it has the older engine it still? Also, what'* the typical gear ratio for this vehicle? Under light throttle it didn't even shift out of 1st gear until 35 MPH. It'* pretty doggy. I remembered our 92 SE with the same engine to be pretty peppy.

I have never seen a 1995 lesabre without a series 2. As for the gear ratio I would check the RPO code.

I believe the Olds 88 for 95 had L27'* as well.. All of the 95 98'* had the L36...
But keep in mind they may have just used the remainder of the L27, so there may be some 95'* out there with an L36
