$$$ And More $$$
Just put a new gas tank and filler neck ( $350.00) in my 97 Bonne yesterday, drove to gas station and filled with mid grade ( $58.00 ) and not even 12 miles down the road my car decided to inhale all of the coolant in the rad.
I am assuming it is the upper intake manifold so I picked one up ( $112.00 ) for a Dorman and grabbed the lower intake set ( $70.00 ) just in case and am now quietly waiting for a call from the garage to find out when the car will be ready and how many more $$$ I will be spending. Car ownership is a wonderful thing....LOL.
What is the usual time to do the UIM and do you have to do the lower also?
Thanks.

Keeping in mind the car is 14 years old.. it'* not costing that much from the sounds of it. (yeah..I went through it all too)
I think the book pays 4-6 hours for upper/LIM gaskets.

Picked the car up this evening from the garage and itseems to be running really good.
To install the upper and lower intakes, oil change, 6 NGK spark plugs and 2 gallons of Dex Cool the total bill was $283.00.
I had AC Delco plugs in it so I hope the NGK plugs are as good.

At least they did not use Bosch. Taking car on a 400 km trip today, see how it runs now. I want to change the upstream 02 sensor but raining here.
