David, I was expecting this from you, considering the rant you threw the LAST time this happend Most people that have 'no comment' don't post. I have no email from you. Please use the link at the bottom of my post and re-send.

You are the type of personality that really needs concrete evidence. If you desire more info OFFLINE to convince you that this was the right thing for BC (so you can be as satisfied as everyone else in this thread), again, use that email link.

David, if you think something'* the right thing to do, post it here. That'* what this topic has become. If you value this forum (and you obviously do, or you wouldn't be here), you'll post something if you think it may have value or improve the community in some way.

Because you continue to press these stupid issues with an uninformed database:

The last time we went around with PPF/Deathrat, you allowed yourself to be wrapped up in an issue you were uninformed about. Shortly after that, you allowed yourself to be wrapped up in another issue that you were ABSOLUTELY uninformed about. That issue is being discussed in the Lounge right now. That issue cost you. As an Admin of another site, I expected more of you than to take the 'victim'*' word for the issue without looking at the other side.

I wouldn't normally do this, but you've taken it upon yourself (again) to press the issue. You are under disciplinary action on this site. You have lost your right to send PM'* for one of the most childish actions I've ever seen here. You spammed me. Over and over like a six year old, because Jeffrey left this site. An issue you knew only one side of the story of. You had every opportunity to act maturely, and to set an example as an Admin of a sister site. You chose otherwise. If you'd like me to move all that stuff down here into this topic, I'd be happy to show the world what you did. I kept it private out of respect for you, but if you continue to show a lack of respect for me, I'll share it.
I have every right to defend my position with HARD evidence if I'm challenged.

I take this job VERY seriously, and get no pay. If I'm going to take abuse from you, I have every right to show my side of the story, don't I?

We still have all your embarrassing tirades archived along with those two messes. Why? So we can show that we treated all parties fairly. You might be best to drop the whole issue, BUT:

If you want to believe there'* a conspiracy or dictatorship here, post it publicly. But before you do, I'd suggest you read every page and every post of this topic VERY carefully again.

My challenge to you is this:

If you have something to add here, don't hint about it like a drama queen.

Come right out and post it publicly.

Be prepared to face the consequences of posting about a subject that you know nothing about.

Before posting publicy, find the other side of the story, even if you have to contact an Admin directly.

Don't show your *** in public. It'* embarrassing.

I think it'* time to explain something fully. There are apparently 4 people that think this is a dictatorship, and this needs to be put to rest.

Unlike most forums, we don't suffer from a dictatorship. Jeff was very wise in setting things up as he did. We ended up with a forum that has maturity (in most cases) and responsible posting in a trusted environment.

The reason we have this is because this isn't a one-man show. If you trust even ONE of the 3 Admins on this site, your voice is heard. Jim, Don, and I discuss EVERY issue out of the norm. These issues are discussed in a forum that Jeff has full access to. Nothing is discussed offline, unless it'* also discussed where he can see it. Jeff is our 'check and balance' man for the serious issues. On MOST of these issues, we also solicit the input of the Moderator team.

Any issue that comes up is fully documented for these reasons. Banning Deathrat was NOT an easy decision to make, but we made the best decision we could make based on alot more information than the members had available to them. You've seen some of it in this topic. It'* only one example of how we operate this Forum.

The bottom line is that if you feel any of the Admin Staff are treating someone unfairly, or hiding some subversive action, you distrust all 3 Admins and the Site Owner. We don't have secrets from anyone, unless it'* to preserve the person in question from public humiliation.

Posts like the one that started this thread (Deathrat'*) and follow-on posts like Crazydriver'* serve NO purpose but to stress the mood on this Forum and publicly humiliate the people involved.....USUALLY the people that post it in the first place.

We do the best damn job we can for one reason. We enjoy being Admins and helping people MOST of the time. These issues aren't fun, but they come with the territory. Helping a couple people find the answers they need to help the cars they love outweighs these negative issues BY FAR.

Our Forum is currently under MAJOR scrutiny by more than just the members here. I'm not going to elaborate any further on that topic right now, but it'* a good thing for us. Our credibility in alot of people'* eyes is about to increase tenfold. Why? because we run this site as a team of 3000 people the RIGHT way. With trust and honesty.

And the respect works both ways.

Ohhh.....I get three in a row! Reading back through the trials and tribulations of dealing with Crazydriver the LAST time around, I found reference to a neat topic in a conversation between Don and I.

It might be a good time to dig it up again, but be advised that the single NO vote was the person that posted 3 posts higher than this one

Anyone who would like to revive it, feel free, but also please take note of some VERY good points and observations, particularly by the Site Owner:

Bravo Willwren well said

Vendors are a tricky business, we are here because of our love of Bonnevilles and our desire to keep informed. When a vendor uses their knowledge for their own gain and steers people in the wrong direction something has to be said. When running a car forum, keeping the flow of information accurate is paramount, not the sale of unneeded parts.

Why do we even need Vendor status? Its more of a bennifit to them than us members. Most of us buy are parts from autozone, canadian tire, napa etc. and they dont troll the forums looking for a sale?

Very good point PDad. I can honestly say that in the 1.5 years I've been around here that I've never once clicked on the "Vendor'* Forum". I have no idea what'* in there, and honestly don't care to. I'm with you....I buy my parts from local, trusted sources that have built a reputation in the community. Building a reputation in an on-line community has the likelihood to introduce a lot of stress into the club, as we're witnessing here.

That is a very good point. This Saturday will be one full year that I've been here, and I've never used any of the vendors. I go AutoZone or O'Reilly'*.

Honestly I've tried almost all of our vendors, and the ones from clubgp as well.

I dont' have a problem trying to support those that want to help our community even if they are a "little" higher in price. However if the support or customer service isn't there then what are you going to do? INTENSE has my extreme loyalty because they treat me like i'm the ONLY customer they have when I deal with them and thats hard to do when they deal with the volume of customers that they do.
