This may have been covered before but i have to ask

i have had a few glitches while logged in that caused me to be inadveratantly logged off. This can be a problem when trying to review the most recent posts. is there a way you could set a search ability for the entire forum to show the latest post based on date/time stamps?

it is kind of frustrating when a few days have passed and i try to catch up on the posts.

If I'm interpreting your question correctly, there already is that functionality.

At the top right of the screen under your user ID there is this: "View posts since last visit". Clicking on that will show all posts that you haven't read.

It haapens to me sometimes, there isn't a way to search in that fashion. Just go to the forums that intrest you start reading... I've hoped for something to allow this for a while...

Also you just have to look at the dates when skimming the sections that interest you. Beside each topic it will show the date of the last post.

The Problem is being kicked off or losing connectivity. Once that happens your "view posts since last visit" goes to 0, and then we have to go back through each forum section to find the latest posts. it is a pain. When if this ability to search by date/time existed, there would be only one search required.

Then I suggest you contact the makers of PHPBB and ask them to add to their code to make that search possible. Otherwise you wont see it happening since it is all controlled with the forum software.
