Locking The Old Threads?
I was thinking about the "commotion" with nawhitecar (I think?) and other people reporting that they feel "attacked". I was thinking why don't you lock all old threads, every single one of them because if it'* brought up, it'll end up being locked anyway. And if someone has any questions, they still can look for it and link it to the new thread. Wouldn't that help everyone including the admins/mods?
Thoughts?

one thing i never understood was why bringing up old topics is bad!?!?!?
if a common question ever comes up, everyone says do a search for the keyword...
so what happens when you find a relavent post from 6 monthes ago? create a new post talking about the exact same thing? doesn't it make sense to add on to the existing post?

Sometimes our knowledge or best practices change, and the information in the old topic is no longer valid.
In addition, we like new members to clearly state THEIR sypmptoms and observations instead of assuming what they're reading is the current best thing for them.
There are more reasons as well.
