Has anyone added a nitrous system to their SSEI? What system did you use and how does it work? Was it a dry or wet system?

I've been looking at the Zex system at grandprixstore.com

But Hector is designing a system for our engines specifically. The Zex system is dry, I think Hector'* will be wet.

Allmachtige, if you are going to go with a Zex nitrous kit, just buy one on eBay, it will be much cheaper than the Grand Prix Store. I am desigining a sheetmetal upper intake manifold. You can plumb nitrous easily into it (wet shot) but its desgined for an L36 (N/A).

Salmanman, I do not believe any SSEi'* have added nitrous but plenty of Grand Prix GTP'* have. Because you are supercharged, you have to run a wet shot no matter what. Typically what they do is buy the Throttle Body Space from ZZPerformance which you can drill and tap for a nitrous shot. You do this because a wet shot has to be behind the MAF which is in the Throttle Body. And your next question is it ok to put fuel and nitrous through the supercharger. Yes, up to a point. Typically people dont do more than a 75 shot or you are straining the fuel system of these cars, internals, etc. If it is a wet shot, it does not matter too mcharged, you have to run a wet shot no matter what. I agree with tofu man... I wouldn't run more then 75 shots wet in a supercharged car. As for the throttle body spacer that the GTP guys use... I"ve been hearing a lot of problems with those spacers as the gaskets are cheap and fail breakin into pieces that flies into the internal of the engine... I dont know if they've resolved the issue yet... so you might want to check a couple of the GP'* sites

Actually no they have not resolved that issue with the cheap gaskets. Thanks for reminding me. You can buy a sheet of gasket material yourself and cut out newer thicker gaskets to resolve that problem as well.

With a dry shot can't you just run it right trough the intake? Right through the TB and all? Or am I sadly mistaken?

With a N/A car you can run a dry shot. With a */C car it has to be wet. With any kind of forced induction a nitrous shot has to be wet for saftey reasons.

how much would a 35hp shot cost for a series 1 3800?

Smallest I've ever seen or heard of is 55 shot. But look around.
