Default Epoxy coating?

I am rebuilding a 95 M62, and the epoxy is comming off. Is there any fix for this. I mean what, if anything, can be used to replace it?

By the way thanks for all the help you guys have already given me,

New rotors or getting them recoated. I've never seen the coating coming off the Gen 3 M62. Got any pics?

I second John. New rotors or get them recoated.

I'd like to see pics, too.

One more thing, does pumkping the grease in to remove the needle bearings also seperat the rotors from the housing or is that done prior?

The rotors pull right out with the middle plate.

My rotors in my old 95 M62 were almost completely bare when I pulled the SC apart to port it and replace the SC gasket. Between the rotors being almost bare and the SC gasket blocking the outlet of the SC would probably explain a big part of why the car was probably .3-.5 seconds slower than it should have been. I know it definitely felt stronger from just porting and putting a properly placed SC gasket in.

As far as a place that re-epoxy'* them, from what I have heard on www.3800pro.com and www.clubgp.com the cost of recoating them (teflon coating -might as well if they are going to be done properly) would be about $400. Worth it? It'* up to the person holding the cash.

There are cheaper recoating options with candadian supercharger. But that includes shipping across the border.

Oldblue'* performance estimates are right on the money for a loss of 1-1.5 psi due to rotor coating losses.

Figure 100 bucks MINIMUM to recoat, not including shipping. I suggest finding another supercharger to be a donor for a set of rotors. But I'd still like to see a pic of the coating loss. It'* not common, except in cases of abuse.

Another possibility could be to drop a pulley size (~$50) to gain back the loss. Keep in mind spinning the charger faster would result in slightly higher temps coming out. It'* probably a wash though if everything else is in good shape.

Here are the pics of my rotors. I have moved to the smaller pulley from a 92'. I do not see any isues using it seeing how I am still in the tuning stages of this engine swap.
