yeah i had read that earlier. im gunna order a new t-stat ASAP and then put it all in in my auto class. im only 16 but ive been workin on cars my whole life. Yet to take apart the 3800.

Well, you're right in the middle of car-central. You're about to learn the 3800 is one mean beast when it wants to be. Take a read of some of our kill stories
You'll also find that it'* an impressive display of good strong design. Perhaps the best version of a pushrod engine you'll ever see. I've been through the L27 engine you have, and it was in impressive condition, even with 188,000 miles on it (not my car....neighbor kid, who just happened to be 16 when he got it, too).
