how about a 3 inch pulley
so i have been working too much to do anything lately and am finally able to ask.. what would be absolutely needed for switching from my current 96'* 3.4 pulley (with which i have not had a single problem) to a 3.0 inch pulley =? or.. if this would require EXTREME modification.. what size would i likely be safe with assuming my car is tip top(which i think it is.. and so does my mech)
the way i look at it... .4 inches smaller than stock made a HUGE differance.. i can't imagine what .8 inches smaller would do please advise you... certified nuts.. you

you are NOT ready for a 3.0 though, it will do more bad than good...actually you are probably still getting KR on that 3.4.. cuz you havent done anything to the exhaust manifold

I agree. That 3.4 is probably too much. KR will slowly chip away at you. And scanning for KR this time of year will be fruitless. You'll get it in the summer for sure.
To run a 3.0, you're going to need a PCM, rockers, and either PEM'* or Headers at LEAST and that might only get you to 3.2".

I'm runnin' a 3.0 right now with no KR, but it is 30 degrees outside... I'm ok with a 3.0 as long as it doesn't get about 60, above that and it'* a 3.2.
That'* with rockers and headers though.
Three most important things are: scan, scan and scan some more......

This good info for me as well.
I am getting a 3.2" for sure, with PEMS, CAI, Rockers, PCM, some inlet/outlet work (polishing)
