Default Supercharger SQUEAK

Hello everyone, I am knew here, absolutly a great forum.

Anyway, I'll get to my problem,

It all began about a month ago, I started up my 1992 SSEi and noticed a faint squeking/chirping from under the hood, it didn't do it all the time, but now it is. After further investigation I believe it is the bearing in the snout of the charger. I can squirt a quick mist of WD-40 behind the pully and it will go away for about 5 seconds then come back. I changed the oil in it (HOLY $#@*) that stuff freaking reaked, anyway the squeak/chirp is still there. The guy at the Pontiac dealer said I can't buy replacement parts for the charger I have to buy the whole damn thing $2,300 NOT AN OPTION. So my question to you guys/gals is, is there replacement parts out there for my super, and is it hard to do, is there any tricks to do it? I am fairly competant when it comes to working on cars just haven't ever tackled a supercharger...YET

Any reply would be absolutly tremendous

http://www.zzperformance.com/zzp/pro...ebuild_kit.htm
And while you're rebuilding you SC do the couplers....Only about another 86 bux total....And the coupler replacement is in tech info to get a good description and instructions for the procedure.

Make sure it'* not an idler or anything else. Remove the SC belt and move the pulley by hand back and forth. Is there any slop? If so, the coupler needs to be replaced anyway. www.rollingperformance.com is another source for rebuild parts. M90 kit is the same as the M62.

The dealer wasn't entirely truthful with you either. You can buy just the nosedrive from them as well, but it'* cheaper at other sources.

www.canadiansupercharger.com is our preferred SC/Nosedrive vendor.

Moving to Forced Induction.
