Default */C equivalant of boost controller ??

Was talkin to Russ earlier and we somehow got into the topic of */C.. and it made me wonder. Is there some kind of boost controller ( Maybe that'* not the right term, something similar to maybe to Boost Timing Master? Well something that does what boost controller does )..

So in essence.. lets say there'* a */C that can boost up to 15 PSI for a specific engine, but have some kind of limiter allowing to boost only to 8 for now till the internals are strengthen to handle 15 PSI boost @ a later date.

Your PCM limits boost via the BCS and BCA. The MAP sensor is what it watches for reference.

You could try varrying the resistance to the BCS input with a potentiometer or some resistors.

Nothing .. just thinkin out loud.. humm.. Eaton is only good for XX boost and isn't efficient..

A good */C thats on a centrifugal type system may yield better boost @ lower temp.. but then why spend so much for it just to give same boost?? So why not go for the gusto and get a bigger */c that pushes higher boost right?? Well we know the internals of N/A or others can only withstand so much before upgrading the internals is needed.. but that will cost also $$ So why not just get a big boost */C.. have some form of a boost controller so it won't kill it ( And limit the boost for now ) till sufficient $$ can be saved to upgrade the internal to utilize more boost and full potential of the new */C..

Russ brought up a good point that Boost controller is for turbo'* only.. but wat bout */C ??

err...

STOP THE OPPRESSION OF TURBOS WITH SUPERCHARGER !!!

Didn't do much search into it.. but the 3 sites I"ve been to says for Corvettes and such.. :* but how would you be able to limit the boost of that */C?? Obviouslly in any engine that'* not as big of a displacement or made to handle it will blow. So leads me back to Boost Controller for */C Apps..
