Default SC Pulley Question

So I was pricing pulleys at rsmracing.com and found these two.

2A036-333 6-Rib 3.33" Supercharger Drive Pulley $ 77.94 CDN
2A036-348 6-Rib 3.48" Supercharger Drive Pulley $ 77.94 CDN

Was recommend to get a 3.4" one, but these are the only 2 they carry, which would be preferred? Is the 6-rib aspect correct? or does that depend on the belts I have installed? Is this price reasonable (noting that it'* Canadian funds)? What'* the size of the stock pulley?

Also, what else would have to be replaced to compensate for the smaller SC pulley, the belt? Or another pully made larger?

Thanks for any help!

Both of those are press on pulleys and you need a tool to remove/install.
Better to rent the tool and get a modular system like Intense or zzp that way you can swap pulleys much easier in the future.
3.4 with some upgraded intake and exhaust work. No smaller without supportive mods like headers and valve work (ie rockers or cam).

I agree. That 3.33 isn't going to do anything but give you KR.

You need more mods to support it.

True, I just slapped on a 3.3 today and I'm pushing it...even with an entirely new valvetrain.

So flat out don't do 3.4 w/o new intake and outtake (exhaust) :P?

If you have done nothing, then even a 3.4 will give you KR. You need to get a good intake, open up the exhaust a bit if you can, then get the pulley, along with colder plugs.

For instance, I already have a CAI. I have a larger downpipe in the mail right now. Once that is on, I should be safe to upgrade the pulley.

Ya, you'll end up paying a lot initially, but its worth it since you will be saving your engine from blowing up.

Leave your exhaust 2.5", but upgrade the Cat and Muffler to performance units.
