The title is what I'm calling the car. It'* an Eaton M112 off of a Lightning F-150 that I'm gutting out and replacing the bearings on. Intentions are to strap it to the 5.4L PI shortblock with PI heads(9.4:1 CR). Modify the lower to convert from water/air to air/air. Got a mean deal on it so I couldn't pass it up. As you will see, the coating has fallen off of the rotors. It was also full of water a while, hence the rusting bearings in the tail, and the rusty rotor journals. Case looks good as far as I can tell. Whadda ya think? It'* goin in my 95 T-Bird.

All the crap that fell off the rotors. This is just after taking the blower off. Gross huh?

I have no idea, I got the LIM and blower second hand from a guy that told me what it was when he got it. He didn't lie about it in the least. In fact, I'm very pleased. The intercooler for the Lightning'* is a water/air setup, so yeah, that is the radiator kinda thing, which I will remove. I want air/air intercooling. Much more effective. I really really hope I don't need to get the rotors recoated. I wouldn't imagine why I would have too, but I'm sure it'd help make more pony.... Time will tell and it depends how much it costs to get them redone.

Water to air is good if you can run R134 in it instead.

Now that just gives me a brilliant idea. I think I'll reroute my A/C plumbing through the heat exchanger in the manifold and have an air conditioned intercooler! BRILLIANT! Just need a ignition on/off switch to turn the A/C pump on/off with the key.

I looked around on getting rotors coated and it looks like it'* easier to hang in and wait for Ed Morad to get some rotors in stock.

The efficiency will be down probably 2-3 lbs with the coating like you see it.

But does Ed stock M112 rotors? And if so, how much would they run? www.thehighspeedlab.com will coat them for $100. They want $150 to uncoat them! I think I'll get some acetone or something of the sort and clean them myself. Do any of you think the A/C intercooler will work? I'm looking for opinions as well as advice. I have never been lucky enough to play with a blower until now. This is all new stuff to me!

I think the Lightning used the AC on its intercooler. I guess they found that the cooler air created more power than the AC compressor robbed.
