Boost reading at idle : STOCK L67'*
Guys
I've had various vac leaks on my SSEi which has been addressed with all new custom fabbed vac lines, as well as new upper and lower manifold gaskets. There was a bit of pitting in the aluminum head which has been corrected with JB Weld.
However at idle the boost gage waggles, its not very much, but its reading between -68 and -66 kPA. Metric Boost gages are in kpa not PSI and range from -70 to 70 with 0 at the top. Based on that you can understand how much the waggle is.
Do your cars do this? Or am I still experiencing minor vac leakage? Once its warm this becomes less of a problem. Perhaps its just a cold temp issue and I have nothing to worry, but I wanted to hear what you guys are reading at idle.
Thx

it happens on my electronic one on the dash but not my mechanical one.
Its just somthing with the electric gauge not the actual boost.
Infact the stock boost gauge is so far off somtimes its not even a referance

Thinkin' there'* still some vacuum leaks hanging around. Vacuum lines are one thing. Leaks at the two vacuum manifolds on the SC may be an issue, or even at the EGR stovepipe.
