We've got the coupler in, changed the SC oil and the noise was still there - only when idling. (You were right harofreak00, very hard coupler - worn or new).
Thinking we should continue on with the Super Charger, we closely listened to where the noise was coming from - and it'* either the idler pulley or power steering pump. The tensioners seem fine. So I've ordered an idler pulley and may end up ordering a power steering pump too. (Ran new PS fluid too).
We're not completely ruling out more issues with the SC, but feel we should be addressing the component with the noise first.
Should I be moving this thread to another forum?
Thanks.
Elaine

Update...we replaced both idler pulleys and noise is still there.
We are now after the Power Steering Pump...I created a new topic in another forum hoping for some help on that.
Thanks everyone for helping.

Elaine..
If I can suggest a tool that will be invaluable in this search..
A stethescope from Sears. They keep them in the specialty tools area of the tool section. For ~$15 you should be able to isolate the item making the noise in under 5 minutes.

Thanks BillBoost37- we bought one and used it - and we're thinking it'* the power steering pump. Can you take a look at a thread I started in the 1992-1999 forum regarding changing power steering pump?
