'Check Oil Level' light and SC maintenance question
Hello all,
I'm a newbie here and my 'Check Oil Level' light comes on about 10 seconds after I start my engine in the morning then stays on for about 10-15 seconds and goes off and stays off. Is this a bad oil level sender or do you think I have an oil pressure problem?
Also, how do I change the oil in my supercharger (92 SSEi)? What kind of oil do I use? Just got the car and I want to treat it right.
-Chris

Need to know what your oil pressures are as indicated on the gauge. Do cold idle, warm idle, and WOT (wide open throttle).
If you click on the Techinfo link at the top menu bar, in the Tech Know-how section, you'll find a procedure for the SC oil. Should cover everything. It'* a pain, but worth it. There'* a ton of info up there that might interest you, including some SC specific specs in the Specifications section.

Sorry, my guage says that I have plenty of pressure. Always reads between 30-50 psi that'* why I'm thinking sending unit. By the way, where is it on these engines?

I'd bet it'* not the pressure sender, but the oil LEVEL sender. Pressure sender is in the vicinity of the oil filter, pointing towards the firewall. Easiest access is from underneath or through the wheelwell with the skirt removed (I like undressing things).
The level sender is a pan removal job. Jr's3800 has done this recently. I think it actually gets pinched in the gasket on purpose. I've never had my pan off.
