Fins on the blower Snout
Does anyone know for sure what purpose the fins of the snout serve. Is it structure, heat disapation, a little bit of both? I just thought that a blower would look awesome with a smooth snout like the whipple, but if it is structural you couldn't remove them. Anyone attempted this in the past or have seen it??

I was thinking structural by looking at them, but what about leaving the bottom ones in place for downward pressure by the belt and shaving the top ones.....thinking outloud. Probably not going to attempt it any time soon, but I have an extra snout case just sitting around taking up space.
