Depends on how far you're planning to rebuild. Can you tell us your symptoms?

Moving to Forced Induction.

well, i have 2 superchargers, 1 92 and 1 93. The 93 makes noise, so I am assuming it is bearings. The 92 I am not sure if it needs a rebuild, but when turning the pulley, it turns about 1/4" before it engages. Not sure if that is normal or not, but if it isn't, then I'd like to replace it. Also, how would you suggest cleaning the inside of the Super? the 92 blades are blackened and look like they should be cleaned.

What does the noise sound like? A coupler makes noise and once replaced (even though it doesn't look bad to the eye) the noise goes away.

It'* a $30 fix for a coupler.

Edit: A little more, you'll need the gasket for the SC to intake.

Please understand I am not saying it is the coupler. I am asking what does it sound like. I'd like an unbiased answer, which is why I am not providing a sound. Geoff, if you pull the SC belt off do you feel slop when you turn the pulley back and forth quickly?

Umm... unsure on that one bill. Let me just say this is not on my white one, it is the one off the red car. The white one only has 2000 miles on it. I know the 93 when running you can hear noise coming from it, but it'* been a couple weeks so I can't accurately describe the noise. I was going to get some video of it, but left the video camera in Rochester.

For the 92, does that sound like the coupler?

It may be, you'd need to describe the sound it makes. Bill had a good name for it, but I forget. Then feeling it would help as well.

ok... it turns freely and makes no noise when turned, just the pulley, which turns <1/4" before the blades start turning. Is this an issue?
