Default Twin-charge an L67

Ok fellas, I think twin charging would be the "cheapest" way to get higher boost without a GEN V or mp112. So I'm thinkin' an air-to-air intercooler from the super, through a turbo to keep it pre-charged so there would be no turbo lag, then the radiator itself, then back through the intake.....complicated, yeah, crazy....hell yeah. Willwren explained a little bit to me at WCBF, but now I need some input and details. SO, rip it apart, build it up, but I need input.

Anybody know how ZZP did theirs?

I like the idea. I wonder how much pressurized air could be routed around the rotors via the bypass valve. It would be pretty hard on the engine to compress it twice unless drastic measures were taken to avoid KR, ect. I would imagine that reasonable turbocharger pressures less than 10 psi could be achieved. I guess there is another topic about it, but I am not sure. Could'nt one just take rotors out of the m62 and put it all back together while retaining the factor pulley setup????

Frankly a turbo should be before the blower, not after.

Hell just do a turbo, and gut the SC.

Gen V expensive???? How about $550? Plus the lower intake and TB adapter, totalling another $250.
Still under $1G and a turbo will cost AT LEAST $1.5G.

it says turbocharger/supercharger.....does that mean it came with both?? or is that what the search engine found? what would I do for the lower intake and TB adaptor?

and yes, i was thinking the turbo after the super, because the turbo would be able to produce more boost. put an adjustable wastegate/BOV, and on the street you could cruise at say 10 lbs., then go to the track, get race gas, crank it up to 13-15 ......that would be freakin' awesome.

so get a gen V for the time being, figure out if it needs more, if it does, figure out how to plumb a turbo in there somewhere. BUT! Even if it doesn't "need" it, it sure would be cool to have one of the few twin charged cars out there....

Yep there was a GP at MGM that was */C and Turbo'd. I think it has the 2nd highest trap speed behind the Turbo car - so it must work really well!
