Um, what'* going on?!
I think it might be my belt slipping but i'm not sure.
After running my car, I'll admit, a little hard, when i went to get on it seemed to lurch and almost choke....kind-of.... The same thing happens when putting my foot into it going uphill, except the boost gauge will get to 10 then go from 9-10 rapidly.
Would a gator back */c belt fix this? I already have the oversized idler pulley after installing the 2.2 inch */c pulley.

Well, the hill climb boost happend today and yesterday. The real bad slipping happend toady, and it was wet out. Not terribly wet, just a mist coming down with just slightly wet roads...
whatcha thinking? belt getting wet?

Could be cause I'm having the same issue but I can clearly hear mine. When I floor it sometimes it'll take off, belts scream and RPM/power drops QUICK, let off and try again and its flying again. When the belts don't make a noise there is no problem...funny thing is my problem is on ~100mile old gatorbacks

Even the gatorbacks need to break in, but I'm betting the farm on either one of two possibilities:
1. Slipping belt. Let the Gators break in (John, I know you're running the oversized idler, is DrJay? I don't remember) and then try some belt dressing. Stuff in the spray can.
This could also come down to a tired old spring in your tensioner assembly.
2. Intermittent single-cylinder ignition miss. That'll cause some variation in vacuum/boost.

Plug or wire. A single cylinder miss can't be caused by a coil or ICM. An intermittent miss is typically caused by a wire. Either an intermittent break in the center conductor, or an intermittent short through the insulation to a metal grounded object in the engine bay.
Belt slip itself is very hard to prove.

Yeah I was so frustrated last night with belt squeel every time I floored it that I figured I should do something about it. I could tell by the MAF reading at WOT I was losing a lot of performance. I was ready to just buy new ones then I realized I don't have the idler. Still though, my old SERIOUSLY (as in I'm not sure why they didn't fly off) cracked belts worked perfectly without the idler..meh, we'll see.
