I got my new sc pulley and was going to be doing the 'ole switcharoo possibly this weekend or so. Getting the old one off is fairly straight forward, but what is the correct, or best way to put on the new one. I don't want to damage it or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. t'anks!

Oh I thought that you used the proper tool for removing and installing the pulley.

You will have to assemble a 15 mm bolt that fits into the threaded hole of the pulley shaft and has a nut for tightening against a couple of heavy washers to press on the hub.

Sorry, man. I haven't begun the job yet. I still need to rent the puller. I guess my question stemmed from not knowing if the pulley puller was also a pulley installer. I've never done it before and was thinking ahead. This car is my everyday use car so I have to get everythibg done at the same time or else I'm up the creek w/o a paddle.
I saw a picture of the puller on the net, but havent actually handled one yet.

Oh you'll figure it out when you get the tool. I hope that it is the specific one used for the job. It works real slick.

What size pulley did you select ?

I would recommend installing a 180 stat and a small 10" x 4" x 3/4" hi-efficiency transmission cooler before or at the same time as the pulley.

That new pulley is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

I got the 3.5 pulley because after considering what people were saying here it seemed the best for my case. I'm going to stay mostly stock. I already bought a 180 stat, ac delco 41-932 plugs, which I have in my garage waiting for me, and have already installed a k&N filter. I haven't gutted my airbox, I may some day, but I don't want to at this time. If I do then I'll need to get a better exhaust system like ported manifolds/headers, and such. Otherwise I'll be getting too much KR and too much of a bottleneck. So it'* all or nothing.

As for the tranny cooler. I know everyone reccommends it, but since my car isn't a hot-rod, and I just am uprgading for a little more fun/performance I'm not too sure about it. I hear that if you jump on the freeway on a cold winter day before it'* heated up then I'll have a sluggish tranny. I guess I'm just a bit skeptical that it'* what I need. Aside from the time or two a day I really give it some gas, I don't go hog- wild with it. It'* only ten miles one-way to work so it barely gets hot anyway. sure I cruise here and there on the weekends, but not terribly long distances. Lastly, I'm under warranty and don't want too many mods around in case I need some kind of service related problem. Does this make sense to you or am I way out there to you?

Oh, yes, I'm gonna get the m 90 puller for the job.
