I mean what kind of times are the Series 2 W-Body guys running with stock cam, stock heads, stock rockers, No IC, stock SC, stock TB? And then factor in that a bonne will run a .5-1 sec. slower in the 1/4 mile and compare them?
Unless you have a huge cam and massive P&P creating some crazy flow I don't think that the M62 is going to be the week link.

my 2 cent

But doesn't look like that is the case, so I will stick with the M62...
Oh and as to why I can't change the coupler, my parents think I am going to destroy my car if I attempt work like that, having seen a GM service builliten that said under no circumstances was the supercharger to be taken apart. I know I can do it, and I could just go ahead and do it (I am 21 after all), but if they want to pay out of their pocket for a new supercharger, I sure as hell won't stop them...

Well if I change the coupler it costs me....if they buy me a new supercharger, they have to pay for the whole thing....
Whatever there is really no explaining their logic...lol

have them give you the money PayPal so you can "order" a new supercharger. then go to ZZPerformance.com and order a new coupler and install and clean the heck out of it , take the old SC out and show your mom and dad that you boxed it up and are waiting on the new SC to arrive, then tell them you have to ship the old SC in or there is a 200 dollar core charge, hehehe then take it back out of the same box and say "great my new SC is here" show them how nice and clean it is and go put in back on your engine with a new gasket and SC oil. Next step contact DrJay and get rockers ordered and contact pulleyboys and get smaller pulley (with money saved by not buying whole new SC). Problem solved (of course I was a bad kid when I was younger and I would have probably not even been THAT shady LOL) Or just go and pay 1500 dollars for a brand new M62 from GM and choke at the fact that you could have pretty much the same thing for 70 bucks installed with new gaskets and oil..........maby all they need to see is the 50 or so cars on this site that have done new couplers successfully. And maby they need to understand that GM service bullitin is partly to line GMs pockets with more money from all the SCs they sell because of it. God im glad there is an aftermarket and a good group of guys that can help with situations like this so that us non rich type guys can afford to maintenence there own cars!

Yes, the M62s do sound amazing. I am so sad that I never get to hear it now because my intake is off. Anyhow, the project is very simple. I have done it three times now and there isn't much to it. Good luck though. O and you really must get a new supercharger, there are rebuilt ones on ebay going for about 450-475 which would be much better than the 1500 from GM.
