Question for those with a smaller supercharger pulley
I have a 95 SSEi and I was thinking of putting a smaller pulley on. I've been told to run cooler plugs and always run premium gas (which I always do). My engine is stock.
Has anybody with a smaller pulley had any adverse/negative consequences because they put on the smaller pulley?

2.5" is the right size, or the stock 92/93 pulley (2.55, essentially the same).
You'll wish you did an intake or at least vent your airbox and drop in a performance filter. I also strongly suggest a 180° thermostat at the LEAST.
You'll have snappier throttle response and higher boost, but won't benefit completely until that intake is fully upgraded with a pipe and cone.
Buy the stock length gatorback belt, oversized tensioner pulley, and consider changing your coupler at the same time as a preventive measure.

i also have a 95 ssei and the pulley was my first mod...did the intake several weeks later...you will love it!!
make sure you do the boost control and TPS mod at the same time to really wake it up
