No boost
Howdy. I don't have a boost gauge as of yet, but for some reason, I can feel that it just isn't pulling. I raced against my dad'* bone stock Reatta and we were dead even from a stop till 65 or so when we let off. I can hear it spinning but I don't think the air'* hitting the fan, err, rotors. Is my vacuum controller bad?

It would help to know what vacuum setup you have.
If you used OEM parts, start the car, leave it in park, and disconnect the vacuum line going to the TOP of the Bypass valve. The valve should close. It should be in bypass at park/idle. By disconnecting the line, you force it into boost. Then take the car for a drive if it does what I expect.
If that improves things, you have a vacuum issue or your BCS is bad. Check the resistance of the BCS from pin to pin.

Below are pix of my vacuum setup. I'm not using any electric/electronic controls for boost.
Willren: With the top vacuum line detached...I'm kinda confused. Is it supposed to be in bypass, or full boost?

With it running and the top line disconnected, the valve does go into bypass (arm stays down) and does not come up when revved.
I had to just try it once, but i made a run with The One line disconnected which resulted in full boost. I only did it once and understand the possible consequences, but I do know that my */C unit itself is fine

Its been working fine before. Ryan of GMtuners said I wouldn't need any of the electrical stuff and the vacuum controller would take care of everything. I'm thinking it'* faullty.

I went to Story Buick/Pontiac and ordered the boost controller. Was cheaper than I figured at $30 something. I should have it tomorrow and will post back.
