Need guidance on gasket for nosecone - Permatex anaerobic??
Hello,
I hope someone can give me some guidance. I an replacing the nosecone on my 1996 SSEi and was given a product to use for the gasket. Permatex anaerobic gasket maker. The issue is that in the directions on the back of the package it says that on one side you put a surface prep activator, the other the anaerobic gasket material. There is no activator in the package. On the permatex website, there are directions that never mention the activator. I don't want to assemble the supercharger incorrectly. I have called auto parts stores but they seem as stumped as me.
Any advice??
Thanks.
Dan

Your best bet would actually b to go to your nearest dealership and get a tube of gasket maker.
Don't remember the part number but it'* a small red tube

I'm with the two goofballs above me
Go to the dealer. Tell the parts guy you need one small tube of the red gasket maker. He'll hand you a mini tube that is red. You'll have more than you need for one charger.
