Could this be a problem (gasket gap)
I found this when I removed my supercharger. The Fel-pro gasket leaves a gap at two points on the wastegate leaving a path to cavities on the underside of the SC. It was this way when I took it off, and my new gasket has the same issue.

Interesting.
Talking to John on the phone, and looking more closely, then going out and test fitting two OEM gaskets on my old Gen2 supercharger, I have a MUCH better fit.
John is going to test fit his old gasket on his recently replaced Gen3 and his OEM Gen2 soon to help troubleshoot this.

Will...look at the intake... ...remember our discussion of velocity and distribution?? Remember the results??? Look at the different color between the two open areas.

Yup. Noticed that. Pretty severe reversion. The colors are obvious. And it'* turned the debris into tar.
John, did you smell fuel when you opened it up? Does it look any different near the entrance to the runners?
How long have you had that SC on since the last change? About a year, right?

The runners were the same color as everything else... really dark brown. The dark stuff on top of the LIM felt like thin gritty oil, and wiped right off for the most part. Couldn't tell you about fuel smell, I had a bucket full of it next to me at the time.

Yuppers. Remember it well. It'* not even remotely possible for them all to be equal. Particularly the 5 and 6.
A little history on the unit we're looking at.....it was purchased from FLOZ in disguise. Unbeknownst to John. It'* part of a Gen3 conversion. John has been battling tuning issues for the last year with it.
